Things are on a bit of a pause right now. Email us if you have questions, want to join, or want to volunteer. Our unit is constantly on the go. CLICK HERE to send an email. We meet on the third Tuesday of every month - at 7:30 pm. Please plan to attend to network with other members and to support your ALA Unit 160 and veterans.
It is time to renew your membership for 2020-2021!
Or, if you are new, to start your membership. Our "new" year starts on July 1, 2020. Dues are $30 per adult member and $8 per junior member. You may pay by cash or check in the Post 160 Social Quarters or at our meetings on the third Thursday of every month. Or you can pay using PayPal (you do not have to have a PayPal account). Please note, you will be charged $31.21 or $8.55 based on the type of membership you are purchasing. These are the PayPal convenience fees. POPPY DONATIONS! American Legion Auxiliary Unit 160 has a vibrant program to provide goods and services to veterans as part of the ALA's Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation activities. This is generally funded by donations during our Poppy Distribution program. In 2020, due to concerns related to the coronavirus and Covid-19, Unit 160 did not distribute poppies during May 2020 but is distributing in November 2020! If you would like to donate but do not want to come out to one of the locations we will be distributing in person, please make a donation here and plan to stop by and pick up your poppy to proudly display/wear on Veteran's Day. Use this Donate button and donate whatever amount you would like so that Unit 160 can continue its good work supporting our veterans. Be sure to put in a note to tell us how to get your poppy to you. ALA Unit 160 President Kari Marschark presented a check for $1,600 on December 12, 2019, to the Smyrna Fire Department for the 2020 Shop with a Hero. On Saturday, December 15th, during the Children's Christmas Party, another check for $300 was presented. A total of $1,900 was presented to support Smyrna Public Safety Foundation’s “Shop with a Hero”.
